1. Groq in talks to raise $300M at potential $3B+ valuation
Groq is seen today as the fastest and cheapest way to run open source models like Llama 3, due to its LPU chips, designed specifically for AI inference:

Morgan Stanley has been hired.
Previously raised $367M+ from Tiger, D1, and others at $1B+.
2. NVIDIA’s revenue +3.6x YoY to $26.0B in Q1, as net income +5.3x to $14.9B
Firstly, yes I bought more Nvidia

Guidance of $28.0B (2% margin of error) for Q2.
QoQ growth would slow to a still impressive 8%, from 18% this quarter.
10:1 stock split announced.
Stock +7% in the pre-market to $2.5T market cap.
#3 largest company in the world.
The big question: until when can NVIDIA enjoy monopoly-like profit margins? AMD, Intel, Microsoft, Google, Meta, and Apple are all developing AI chips as we speak.
3. Make Coffee
"Let’s talk about action. It's like your superhero cape, reminding you of the power you hold, even when you feel powerless.
So, what’s your plan when the world feels like it’s crumbling? How do you face those moments when you feel as powerless as a potato in a tech store? How do you reclaim your power?
I found a heartwarming true tale by Pam Kearney that shows the magic of small actions...
Picture this: I’m at Lucy’s Flour Shop, munching on a humongous cookie, and I start spinning a yarn for Matthew, the owner.
A few years back, on a freezing December night, there was a visitation at the funeral home across from his bakery. Folks were wrapped up tighter than burritos, lined up to comfort a grieving family.
Suddenly, a man appeared and began handing out hot coffee. People whispered about this mysterious coffee hero and how much they appreciated his warmth.
I turned to Matthew and said, “I have a hunch you were that man. Am I right?”
Matthew, humble as ever, replied, “Yes, I felt terrible for them and wanted to help, but all I could do was make coffee, so I made coffee.”
I told him his gesture blessed many that night, warming not just their hands but their hearts, showing there’s still good in the world. He added kindness to a cup of sorrow.
Then I revealed: “That visitation was for my sixteen-year-old son. Thank you for your kindness.”
That conversation stuck with me:
“All I could do was make coffee, so I made coffee.”
In a moment of helplessness, Matthew didn’t freeze—he brewed.
Teddy Roosevelt once said, "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." And that’s the essence of making the coffee.
Every day, we face moments that make us feel stuck in molasses.
In these moments, you have a choice:
Freeze, paralyzed by imperfect options… or
Act. Do what you can, with what you have, where you are. Make the coffee.
This is the most crucial decision of your life.
Think back on all the times you or someone you know "made the coffee" and changed everything.
When my childhood home burned down, my parents' friends couldn’t rebuild the house. But they showed up with meals, fresh underwear, and their company.
They made the coffee.
When a college friend battled alcohol abuse, we couldn’t stage an intervention. But we organized FaceTime calls to remind him he was loved.
We made the coffee.
When I was in a rut in 2021, I couldn’t change my life overnight. But I opened up to my wife and started the conversation about moving.
I made the coffee.
Big moments, small moments—it’s the action that counts.
So, today and every day, when you feel helpless, ask yourself:
How can I make the coffee?"
